Variety: Barbera 100%
Tamburnin grows the grapes in Castelnuovo Don Bosco, in the province of Asti, where the soil is of ancient marine memory, with clay, limestone and sand.
Training system: against espalier with guyot pruning.
Altitude and sun exposure: we are 350 meters above sea level with south east and south west exposure.
Harvest conducted manually, and alcoholic fermentation carried out in stainless steel containers for about 12 days. After carrying out the malo-lactic transformation, it is aged in 30% new French oak barrels and the rest of the various stages for 12 months. After bottling, it remains in glass for another 4 months, before going on the market.

Intense ruby red color.
On the nose clean and punctual aromas of fruit from stem, with red plum and berries with blackberry. Followed by notes of undergrowth, tobacco and vanilla. Overall, the sensations evoked are of excellent quality and intensity
On the palate it fully corresponds to the cultivar, with acidity in evidence, and adequate minerality. The tannins give their contribution, although they are barely mentioned and certainly not astringent. The substance is ardently defended by the softnesses, with a creaminess suited to the level of hardness. Aromas of fruit, geranium and spices reach the nose.
The 2016 vintage was one of the best in recent decades. The atmospheric events allowed a perfect ripening of the fruit, followed by careful and careful work in the cellar. so that the synthesis of the three aspects gives us a well-designed Barbera with an excellent quality / price ratio.
