Pale ruby ​​red, with subtle garnet shades.

The nose is intense and persuasive, amiably multifaceted, it also excels in quality. It has aromas of flowers with violet in evidence among others, and fruit with plum and blackberry. The cinchona and the porcini mushrooms, then that set of scents of grass, moss, hay, leaves and chestnuts. The precision and cleanliness of the individual perfumes and then of the whole are remarkable.

On the palate it is conspicuous, well structured and in elegant harmony. The texture of tannins made gentle shines, and the creaminess expressed by the softness. Deep and well defined, the sip lengthens between aromas of red plum and rhubarb. The memory it leaves is very persistent.

Among the Barolos that of Burzi stands out for the class, elegance and sharpness of the aromas, as well as for the pleasantness of the sip. Historic vintage with immense ability to evolve over time.

Accompany the tajarin with truffle, the Fassona fillet cooked in a pan and blended with the same nebbiolo. Also excellent with small feathered game: stuffed thrushes and larded snipe.

Barolo 2016 Burzi

The phenotype present in the vineyard is 100% Lampia, while the cultivation area is in the municipality of La Morra, in the Rive, Roncaglia and Rocchettevino vineyards.

Age of the vine: the plants vary in age from 25 to 70 years and a density of 5000 plants per hectare.

The type of cultivation is espalier with guyot pruning with 8 buds, with a yield of about 50 hectoliters per hectare.

After the harvest, carried out manually, it macerates for 15 days at a controlled temperature, in stainless steel containers. It is decanted into Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity of 30 hectoliters where it carries out the malolactic transformation and refines for the time necessary to become one of the best wines in the world.
