Description

Barolo Cannubi 2013 L’Astemia Pentita

Nebbiolo 100%

Pale ruby red with broad garnet shades.

The nose is wonderfully intense, rich in berry aromas, such as blackberry, currant and cassis. Notes of cinchona and dried rose, tobacco and spices appear. The forest bursts with moss, chestnuts and mushrooms. Taken as a whole it is copious, clean and intriguing. The trend towards the Cru class confirms.

On the palate it completes the picture, with a sumptuous balance between the parts. Excellent frame of hardness, with vibrant but integrated tannins, and softened by time. The volume expressed by the softness is such that the sip is thick and creamy.

Like all Barolo , it has the ability to age happily, giving different emotions year after year. The finish is very long between lush aromas of plum, rhubarb, and wonderful notes of the licorice stick.

It happily accompanies all dishes dishes with hare. On the stew it is splendid, as with all game dishes and stewed beef. Excellent with rib-eye or grilled Florentine steak.
