Description

Champagne rosé brut Richard Royer

Variety: Pinot Noir 90% and Chardonnay 10%

Organic certified Terra Vitis

RM Recoultant Manipulant

Light pink color.

The nose is intense and fine, with aromas of wild berries, cherries and black cherries. There are also notes of wild berries and flowers. The aromas are clean, clear and easily recognizable, excellent for quality and intensity.

On the palate the entrance is voluminous and well structured. It widens with grace and elegance. The perception of carbon is a fine but well present bubble, just as freshness and minerality are punctual. The remarkable creaminess makes it balanced, and widens the possibility of pairing with food.

Excellent rosé champagne for vigneron, capable of being voluminous and at the same time very elegant.

Champagne rosé brut Richard Royer

Elaborated with the Melange method, that is, a small percentage of red wine is added to the part vinified in white.

Produced from the cuvée of two different vintages: 2014 and 2015 plus a part of reserve wine. 15% of the latter ages in wooden barrels.

The soil is composed of clay and limestone, dating back to the Kimmeridgian period.

The harvest takes place manually with separation of the different plots.

During pressing, the juices are separated. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic transformation take place in stainless steel containers.

Referments in the bottle for a period ranging from 24 to 36 months.

Since the 18th century, the Royer family has managed the estate located in a small town in the Cote de Bar, famous for its hills: Balnot sur Laignes. La Cote de Bar is geographically located south of the Champagne appellation, in the district called Aube. The cote de bar extends over 8,000 hectares of vineyards.

Richard Royer, the current owner, is well aware of the need not to cling to the story, but to draw inspiration from it, to evolve and enrich oneself with knowledge. Experience, respect for the land and the desire for knowledge are the method by which the Vigneron Richard Royer cultivates his 13 hectares.
