Description

Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano 2018 Irene Cencig

Variety: Friulano 100%

Irene Cencig’s vineyards are geographically located in the Spessa hamlet of the municipality of Cividale del Friuli. Just the first vineyard to be planted in 1970 was that of the then called Tocai, now Friulano. In 2001 the conversion of all the agricultural production to the organic discipline takes place.

The story continues towards two other typical grape varieties of the area, so the new vineyards of Ribolla gialla, among the whites, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso among the reds will soon come to fruition.

Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano 2018 Irene Cencig

Straw yellow color with green shades.

The nose has clean and well-defined aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, with cedar and bergamot. Some fruits like yellow peach and medlar increase the luxuriant complexity. He shares with his brother Sauvignon, the precision and cleanliness of the entire olfactory perspective. It is with joy that the nose approaches the edge of the glass.

On the palate it is just as punctual in defining itself as pleasantly charming. In equilibrium between the opposing parts of hardness and softness, it results correctly voluminous, therefore harmonious. In the back smell aromas of citrus, almond and aromatic herbs arrive.

The synthesis of various aspects of wine is such as to win excellence. Excellent representation of Friulano and the relationship between quality and price is entirely advantageous.
