Description
Friuli Colli Orientali Sauvignon 2018 Irene Cencig
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc 100%
The vineyards of Irene Cencig are in the Spessa hamlet of the municipality of Cividale del Friuli. The first to be planted was that of Friulano, in 1970. In 2001 the last turning point took place which still characterizes the quality and cleanliness of its wines, the conversion of all agricultural production to the organic regime.
The story continues towards two other typical grape varieties of the area, so the new vineyards of Ribolla gialla, among the whites, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso among the reds will soon come to fruition.
Friuli Colli Orientali Sauvignon 2018 Irene Cencig
Straw yellow color.
On the nose there are floral notes of orange and elderflower flowers. Rennet apple and white peach. Even light, but comfortable notes of tomato leaf, enrich the outline.
It is really nice on the palate. Excellent texture that makes up the structure, with minerality and freshness to shine. Harmony is also achieved with adequate creaminess, so as to give volume and thickness to the sip.
From the mouth, aromas of white peach, orange citrus fruit and aromatic herbs creep in.
After swallowing, the memory remains pleasantly for some time.
If analyzed as a whole, it is an excellent interpretation of Italian Sauvignon Blanc, surprising for the absolute class, if we compare it to the price then.
