Variety: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon

Chateâu Plaisance was purchased by the Ducourt family in 1994. It is located west of the village of Montagne, next to the Saint Emilion and Lalande-de-Pomerol appellations. It is located on the right bank of the Dordogne.

The soil is clayey and silty. The vineyard is lying on hills with a gentle slope.

Breeding system: it is the espalier with pruning and guyot.

The vineyard is cultivated by adopting the principles of sustainable agriculture. t

After the harvest, the grapes, arrived in the cellar, carry out a cold maceration for a period ranging from 24 to 48 hours.

Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in cement tanks at about 26 ° C and then the wine macerates on the skins for another 3 weeks at 30 ° C.

Separated from the marc, the wine carries out the malolactic transformation always in cement tanks.

Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The barrels are 33% new, 33% second pass and the remaining 34% third pass.

After bottling it is aged in the cellar for at least another 18 months.

Intense ruby ​​red with purple reflections.

The nose is intense with aromas of ripe wild berries, particularly blackberry and raspberry. Following are gentle notes of green pepper and vanilla.

On the palate it is well balanced between hardness and softness. Excellent the volume of the sip, and the silky sensations it expresses. Tannins that are noticeable but not scratchy and acidity more than correct. After swallowing aromas of ripe fruit and toast arrive.
