Sustainable agriculture

Ruby red with iridescent garnet shades

The nose is decidedly intense, and adorably multifaceted in aromas of jam, berries, blackberries and strawberries. Sour cherries in alcohol, tobacco, black pepper and nutmeg precede cocoa and leather only in order of enunciation. Even subtle notes of undergrowth, withered flowers and ethereal prolong and embellish the whole.

In the mouth it is powerful and luxuriant, with a thick volume and a velvety and deep sip. The hardness is also excellent, which together can support the softness. It stretches between precise aromas of blueberry jam, aromatic herbs and spices.

Great Amarone della Valpolicella from the Classic area: clean, with power and elegance. Perfect to drink now, although it still has significant room for growth.

Venetian red wine capable of standing out for its power and elegance. It is an extremely effective accompaniment to dishes of braised meats and roasts with polenta. Even feathered game, such as larded thrushes.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico I Coali 2016 Coali

Tenuta Coali cultivates the varieties that make up the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico in various vineyards located in the heart of the most highly suited area, in Sant’Ambrogio in Valpolicella in the province of Verona.

The vineyards are located at an average altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, on calcareous and clayey soils, with excellent water drainage capacity.

Training system: against espalier with guyot pruning.

The harvest is done manually in late September and early October, when the grapes have reached full ripeness. They are then placed on racks for drying in the loft. The period varies according to the year, and extends from 3 to 5 months.

After drying, the grapes are pressed and alcoholic fermented in stainless steel containers. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in large oak barrels for at least 54 months, and a further 4-6 months in the bottle.
