Barolo 2017 Burzi
Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
Pale ruby red, with subtle garnet shades.
The nose is intense, decidedly complex and with a refined quality. We pick the fruity ones of plum, rhubarb and undergrowth. Hints of aromatic herbs, tobacco and porcini mushrooms precede those of dried flowers. Also excellent in this vintage, the aromas call for a very happy tasting.
On the palate it is endowed with form and substance. Excellent structure of hardness, thanks to the tannic texture of considerable thickness. In support of minerality and freshness, they serve to compensate for the conspicuous volume of softness. Also in this vintage it is deep and well defined. Very persistent between multifaceted aromas of fruit, cinchona and spices.
Among the Barolos that of Burzi stands out for the class, elegance and sharpness of the aromas, as well as for the pleasantness of the sip. Powerful vintage to be enjoyed now, but with excellent ability to evolve over time.
Accompany the tajarin with truffle, the Fassona fillet cooked in a pan and blended with the same nebbiolo. Also excellent with small feathered game: stuffed thrushes and larded snipe.
