Bolgheri Sassicaia 37,5 cl 2016 Tenuta San Guido

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 85% and Cabernet Franc 15%

The soil where the vineyards live is part of the secret of its greatness. Different morphological characteristics characterized by a strong presence of limestone areas rich in marl. The skeleton of stones and stones is definitely present.

The vineyards are located at an altitude between 100 and 300 meters above sea level, with a West / South-West exposure.

Training system: Spurred cordon with a density ranging from 3,600 vines / ha to 5,550 vines per hectare for the oldest plants and 6,200 vines per hectare in the more recent ones.

Bolgheri Sassicaia 37,5 cl 2016 Tenuta San Guido

The harvest is carried out strictly by hand, to make a rigorous selection. Started in the first ten days of September
with Cabernet Franc grapes and finished with Sauvignon grapes. The same ended on 10 October with the grapes of
vineyards of Castiglioncello, located above 300 meters above sea level.

Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperature for 13-15 days in both varieties.

Refines in French oak barrels for a third of new wood and the remainder of the first and second passage for 24 months.

Sassicaia needs no description, it is one of the best Tuscan red wines in the world
