Variety: Malvasia Nera 100%

Purple red color.

The aromas of ripe red fruit and jam are the first to show. Some hints of sweet spices, tobacco and chocolate follow.

On the palate it is substantial with a slight imbalance on the softness. Enveloping and conspicuous it is endowed with a long stay.

Among the red wines of Puglia, it stands out for its creaminess and softness.

Accompanies stewed beef, grilled pork ribs, and spicy chicken wings. Greatly effective even with oriental spicy matrix dishes.

Salento Malvasia Nera Talò 2018 Cantine San Marzano

The grapes are grown exclusively in the municipality of San Marzano, in the province of Taranto. The altitude is about 100 meters above sea level.

Soil: it is loamy with medium texture, shallow and with good presence of skeleton.

The type of cultivation is espalier with guyot pruning, while the density is 4,500 vines per hectare.

It changes according to the vintage, however, the harvest normally takes place in the second half of September.

The grapes, after arriving in the cellar, carry out the maceration at a controlled temperature for about 10 days, consequently the alcoholic fermentation starts with selected yeasts in stainless steel containers.

After having carried out the malolactic transformation, it is aged in French oak barrels used for 6 months.
