Description

Franciacorta brut Rosè Vigna Dorata

Variety: Pinot nero 80% and Chardonnay 20%

The Franciacorta rosè grapes are harvested in two vineyards, called “Cava” and “Stresà” in the Sala area in the municipality of Cazzago San Martino.

Type of Soil: Morainic alluvial origin, with sandy loam texture.

The vineyard has an altitude of 230 meters above sea level and a sun exposure to the south west.

The density is 5000 plants per hectare, while the type of cultivation is espalier with guyot pruning.

Harvest is done manually, and after pressing the whole bunches, for the Pinot Noir the contact with the skins is left for a few hours. Once the solid parts are separated from the liquids, the alcoholic fermentation continues in stainless steel containers.

The foaming takes place between April and May following the harvest. Re-ferment for 30 to 36 months depending on the year.

 Franciacorta Brut Rosè Vigna Dorata

Soft pink in color

The red fruits are clearly perceived on the nose, with currant, raspberry and grenadine as a consequence. Even the pink and red rose stands out.

In the mouth it is distinguished by the balance between minerality and creaminess. The fine carbon increases the quality and gives richness to the pleasure of the sip.

The Franciacorta rosè from Vigna Dorata is an excellent example of a Franciacorta with pinot nero, elegant, sober and incredibly pleasant.
