Müller-Thurgau is a grape variety selected by the Swiss researcher Dr. Hermann Müller of the Canton of Thurgau in 1882 at the Geisenheim Wine Institute in Germany. The parents are Rhenish Riesling and Madeleine Royal.
Müller-Thurgau boasts a good adaptability to cold climates, typical of mountain regions and an early ripening. For these reasons, cultivation has spread to Trentino, where it has found an ideal habitat.
The vineyards are located at an altitude ranging from 500 to 700 meters above sea level, in the Cembra Valley. Soil is sandy with a notable presence of coarse gravel.
The training system is the Trentino pergola.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel containers at a controlled temperature.
Refine, always in the same containers, for 4 months.
The Terre del Föhn company is owned by the Simoni family. The same family, in the figure of Federico Simoni, is also the owner of Maso Cantanghel.

The nose is typically floral with scents of white rose. There is no lack of fruit with subtle hints of citrus and white peach. Sage stands out among the aromatic herbs.
On the palate it is outlined by a virtuous acidity that gives it remarkable freshness. In the retro olfaction aromas of rose and fresh fruit arrive.
It goes well with many starters, especially fish. He is not scared even with sautéed vegetables and small frittatas of chard and trumpets. Excellent companion for fleeting aperitifs.
