Description

Brunello di Montalcino 2016 Castello Tricerchi

Variety: Sangiovese 100%

Ruby red color, with garnet veins

The nose is very intense and at the same time endowed with remarkable facets of finesse. Let’s move on from cherry to darker notes of blackberry. The wood and its many folds anticipate elegant ideas of Cuban cigar tobacco, leather and the licorice stick. Varied and well-made, the aromas are excellent, intriguing and very clean.

On the palate it is balanced, therefore harmonious. The entrance is rich in thickness, with hardness and softness at the same level. The tannins are correct and silky, while the minerality is clearly distinguishable. Permanence in the mouth expresses a volume with creaminess and warmth. Acidity increases drinkability and overall pleasantness. Aromas of jam and spices reach the nasal receptors from the palate.

An excellent Brunello di Montalcino, well structured and elegant at the same time. Excellent vintage for Tricerchi.
