Description

Champagne brut Rosé Crayons de Vigne Jean Diot

Variety: Pinot Meunier 44%, Chardonnay 30% and Pinot Nero 15%; plus 11% Pinot Noir red wine.

Rosé produced with the Mélange method, that is the union with the fermented masses in white with a red wine.

The grapes are grown in Vinay in the Marne department, south west of Epernay.

The harvest takes place manually with separation of the different parcels.

During the pressing, the juices are separated. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers.

The Cuvée is composed for a variable quantity between 75 and 85 %% of vintage wine and between 15 and 25% of reserve wine.

Refermented in the bottle for a minimum period of 24 months.

Champagne brut Rosé Crayons de Vigne Jean Diot

Cherry pink color

The scents of berries stand out on the nose, such as red currants, white currants and pomegranates. Ideas of butter, and delicious and gentle spices. There is no lack of hints of undergrowth, wild berries and aromatic herbs.

On the palate it is round and sharp. The volume and creaminess expressed by the softness is remarkable, balanced by a respectable verticality. Currant and spice aromas return.

Jean Diot produces a rosé champagne of finesse, capable of distinguishing itself for quality and elegance.
