Description

Champagne brut Premier Cru Rosé Doyard-Mahe

Variety: Chardonnay 88% and Pinot Noirs 12%

Its refined English pink color lights up with cherry and light gold reflections, with a fine and lively perlage.

On the nose the harmony is bucolic, the richness of the assembly is expressed through a first light fruity sensation of wild strawberries and cedar, which intensifies in notes of tobacco and delicate spices, such as cinnamon and licorice. The final note recalls fresh vanilla sticks and the aroma of warm jam that is released during cooking.

On the palate it is fresh and delicate. The aromas evoke the early morning atmosphere with the scent of toasted bread, butter and blackberry jam. The balance between freshness and opulence is subtle and harmonious.

Great interpretation of rosé de Saignée, that is with the partial contact of the skins of Pinot Noir.

Champagne brut Premier Cru Rosé Doyard-Mahe

The grapes are grown from Doyard-Mahé to Vertus, in the Côte de Blancs.

Soil: the soil is calcareous, chalky and rich in marine fossils, in particular the belemnites (mollusk of the secondary era)

After the harvest, the chardonnay ferments in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, while the pinot noir ferments in oak barriques. Refine in the same containers until the following spring. The grapes that made up the cuvée were mainly from the 2017 vintage with the addition of 40% of reserve wines.

Referments in the bottle for a minimum of 24 months before becoming the Champagne that everyone knows.
