Roero La Val dei Preti 2018 Matteo Correggia
Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
Pale ruby red color.
The nose is intense and very fine, fruity with notes of cherry and more evidently red plum. There is no shortage of floral aspects with the violet at the head. Notes of spontaneous herbs, roots and bitters enrich the whole. Some traits of chocolate together with some spices, such as vanilla, cinnamon close the picture.
In the mouth it is already balanced. The tannins are gentle. Good minerality and similar acidity. On the other side of the scale, that is the softness, the pseudo-heat of the alcohol content and the poly alcohols are integrated with the hardnesses, for a great final result. Aromas of red fruit and cinchona come from the palate. Very persistent.
Roero Matteo Correggia’s Val dei Preti represents the essence of Nebbiolo planted on the sandy soils of Roero. Concrete and exciting, it is confirmed every year as one of the best expressions of the territory.
